Kurz vor dem Internationalen Frauentag veranstaltet das PrekärCafé zusammen mit dem Precarity Office ein Filmscreening mit kurzem Input rund um ein zentrales Thema von Frauenbewegungen weltweit: Abtreibung. Im globalen Norden erscheint das Recht auf Abtreibung auf Verlangen der Frau, mit einigen Ausnahmen, als legalisierte „Normalität“. Das geplante Abtreibungsgesetz in Spanien sieht nun eine erneute Kriminalisierung von Abtreibung vor und zeigt auf, dass die Selbstbestimmung von Frauen über ihre Körper weiterhin umkämpft ist. Ein kurzer Input zu den Entwicklungen im Kampf gegen die Verschärfungen des Abtreibungsrechts in Spanien sowie ein Spielfilm zum Thema zeigen verschiedene Perspektiven zu dieser Problematik auf. Der Input wird auf Englisch gehalten, der Film ist auf Rumänisch mit englischen Untertiteln. Flüsterübersetzung ist auf Wunsch möglich.

Poco antes del día Internacional de la Mujer el Prekär Café, junto con la Oficina Precaria, organiza la proyección de una película con una pequeña introducción acerca de un tema central para los movimientos feministas en todo el mundo: el aborto. En el norte en general, pareciera que el derecho al aborto a petición de la mujer, con algunas excepciones, es algo normal y legal. La reforma de la ley del aborto propuesta en España prevé nuevamente la criminalización del aborto y muestra que la autodeterminación de las mujeres sobre su cuerpo todavía se disputa. Una corta introducción sobre la evolución de la actual lucha contra el endurecimiento de la ley del aborto en España, así como una película muestran diferentes aspectos de esta problemática. La introducción se hará en inglés, la película es en rumano con subtítulos en inglés. Traducciones disponibles bajo petición.

Just before the International Women’s Day the PrekärCafé together with the Precarity Office organizes a film screening including a short input on one of the central topics of women’s movements worldwide: Abortion. In countries of the global north, the right on abortion on women’s demand appears to be a legalized „normality“, with some exceptions. Yet, the proposed new-coming law on abortion in Spain involves a renewed criminalization of abortion, showing that women’s self-determination on their bodies is still contested. A short input on the unfolding resistance against the aggravation of the abortion law in Spain as well as a feature film  shall offer different perspectives regarding this issue. The input will be held in English, the movie is in Romanian with English subtitles. Whisper translation will be provided.
